Under the patronage of the president of the German Football Association and the Minister of the Interior and Sports of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, GAZPROM Germania has initiated the Move Against Violence youth contest. The initiative is co-sponsored by FC Schalke 04, the Westphalia Football and Light Athletics Association, and the Lower Rhine and Middle Rhine Football Associations.
Move Against Violence is a creativity competition that serves as an opportunity for clubs to present their anti-aggression and antidiscrimination projects. Young footballers produce films, music, texts, banners, or photos on the subject. GAZPROM Germania then donates prizes for the best submissions – for example, an exclusive training session with two Schalke stars. “Following the success of Films Against Violence, we are very proud to be able to open this follow-up contest to all three of the state’s football associations, and therefore, all young footballers in North Rhine-Westphalia. We look forward to receiving the submissions and are happy to be supporting this important work against violence in amateur football”, says GAZPROM Germania spokesperson Burkhard Woelki.
