GAZPROM Germania presented Russian piano virtuosos
In late summer 2010 the Weimar pèlerinages Arts Festival took place for the sixth time. This year’s theme: ghost lights. The Weimar pèlerinages Arts Festival founded by Dr Nike Wagner combined highlights from the world of contemporary music, theatre, dance, exhibitions, literature, new media, and film, making for a unique programme of entertainment ran from 20 August to 12 September 2010.
With GAZPROM Germania as its classical music partner, the Weimar Arts Festival was able to book two internationally recognized piano virtuosos, Boris Berezovsky and Valery Afanassiev. The two artists showed off their extraordinary talents during their interpretations of Franz Liszt and Franz Peter Schubert at the “Transcendental Etudes” and “Heavenly Lengths” events on 22 August and 26 August, respectively.
