GAZPROM Germania promotes contemporary Russian artists

GAZPROM Germania’s art collection currently comprises about 150 paintings and graphics. The majority of these works of art were created by six contemporary artists from St. Petersburg who formed the “Pyramid” group in 1991. Our company has been in regular dialogue with these artists since as early as 2001. For this reason, we have been able to put on several successful exhibitions in Berlin and Zurich over the past seven years in close collaboration with the artists.

In 2003, the “Pro-Piter” Exhibition, which was dedicated to the 300^th anniversary of the city of St. Petersburg, was a real highlight. This exhibition, which was hosted in cooperation with GAZPROM Germania, offered Berlin art lovers the opportunity to see contemporary Russian art and experience six different perspectives of St. Petersburg.
