GAZPROM Germania supported the festive encounter of two nations
The fifth annual German-Russian Festival took place in Berlin’s Karlshorst district this summer. The event served as an example of the long-lasting friendship and partnership between Berlin and Moscow. As a reliable partner and supporter of the largest festival of its kind in Germany, GAZPROM Germania GmbH presented the visitors a traditional as well as modern Russia.
The German-Russian Festival had taken place from 10th June to 12th June 2011 at Karlshorst’s Trabrennbahn Racecourse and offered a diverse range of programme for those interested in culture, for friends of Russia and families. The entrance was free. Every year, politicians, business representatives as well as organizations from both countries are working together to produce the three-day festival with a unique combination of information and entertainment focusing on culture, language, travel and sport.
This year’s highlights included a performance by the world famous clown Oleg Popov with the Great Russian State Circus, the finalist of the talent show “Narodny Artist” Marina Deyatova and the traditional rock night dedicated to Russia’s national day with performances by bands like “Bratya Grim”, “Cosmonautix” and “LETO”. A variety of traditional Russian culinary treats was available for visitors.
For sports fans, exciting dance shows, an international youth boxing match, chess tournaments and the thrilling Nikolai Bersarin Race at the racecourse were being offered. Like every year, football fans of all ages could enjoy themselves at the Schalke Fanpark.
