This document provides for annual natural gas supply volumes of up to 500 Mm³ from 2008 to 2012 with the possibility of prolongation for a further period of 5 years.
In his welcome address during the gala event in Prague, Sergey Yemelyanov, First Deputy CEO of Gazprom export LLC and Chairman of the Vemex supervisory board said:

It is the long-term gas supply contracts that lay the foundation for stability and security of energy supply which allows us to look to the future with confidence'.
On 10 October 2007 the Czech company Vemex s.r.o. marks one year anniversary of its active participation in the gas market in the Czech Republic. On 1 January 2007 this market was completely liberalised in compliance with the energy act of the Czech Republic.
Cooperation between the companies in the natural gas trade sector commenced in March 2006 in accordance with the gas supply contract concluded between Vemex and Gazprom export LLC. Thus, supplies to the Czech market could be diversified. As of 10.10.2007, the volume of gas sold by Vemex s.r.o. directly to major customers totalled 2 TWh (approx. 186 Mm3).
The company Vemex s.r.o. was established on 25.04.2001 in Prague. It trades natural gas in compliance with the gas selling and purchasing licence which was issued by the energy regulator of the Czech Republic.
ZMB GmbH (Germany), which belongs to the GAZPROM Group, has a share in the Czech company.
