Vyacheslav Krupenkov was appointed Senior Managing Director of GAZPROM Germania by shareholder resolution on 1 July 2011. Krupenkov started his career in the gas export business in 1979 at Gazexport (now Gazprom export LLC), Moscow, the foreign trade arm of GAZPROM OJSC. He represented Gazexport in the Federal Republic of Germany as chief engineer at the trade missions of the USSR and then the Russian Federation, and was then Gazexport’s representative to WIEH GmbH, Berlin (now WIEH GmbH & Co. KG), a joint venture between Wintershall AG and GAZPROM OJSC.  From 1997 until his appointment as Senior Managing Director of GAZPROM Germania GmbH, Krupenkov was director of Gazprom export LLC’s Eximgas department in Moscow (renamed the Department of Gas Exports to Northern and South-Western Europe in 2006).

Andrey Biryulin was appointed Managing Director of GAZPROM Germania GmbH on 1 May 2009. Biryulin holds a degree in international relations with a focus on international economics. He has been in the international natural gas export business since 1993, and, prior to his appointment as Managing Director of GAZPROM Germania GmbH, was head of business development at Gazprom export LLC in Moscow, a function he took on in 1996.

The Management of the GAZPROM Germania group leads a team of 520 employees, of whom 180 are based at the group’s Berlin head office.
