Since April 2009, the „blue fire Megacoaster powered by GAZPROM” catapult rollercoaster has been the main attraction at Europa-Park’s Iceland section. Its adventure-seeking passengers race past rugged rock formations and waterfalls across the fairytale-like island of fire and ice at 38 metres above the ground.
After leaving the station, the coaster passes through a short dark passage during which it accelerates to around 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and over 80 metres. The track is over 1000 metres long and features four unique overhead elements: the highest loop on a catapult rollercoaster in Europe (32 metres) and three daring 360° corkscrews – two in the twisted horseshoe roll and one in the heartline roll, all of which are traversed at 100 km/h.
